I think the Summer of 2018 is one that everybody who experienced it would be talking about for a very long time.
We were so fortunate that we were invited to document so many beautiful celebrations that season, and I am finally showing you one that I know I will not forget for a little while.
Warwick & Kensie’s day, to me, encapsulates what a wedding day should be.
It’s about laughing and celebrating the love that you have for each other with the people who mean the most to both of you.

We have always tried our best to limit the weddings that we shoot in the Wellington/Wairarapa region during the Summer season because as parents of a school kid,
it’s just easier.
However, we did the most traveling we’ve ever done in a wedding season this Summer because who in their right mind would really say NO to beautiful destination weddings?
Our mantra has always been ‘we will make it work’, and we did, with the help from our amazing village of friends and family who always have our backs.

Felix and Kristina’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect.
Not just on the wedding day itself, the days leading up to the wedding, doing all sorts of activities with their friends and family who traveled to celebrate with them, were just incredible.
It was raining really hard the day before the wedding, but on the day, despite the threatening dark clouds in the horizon, there was not a single drop of rain.
It was our first time in Rarotonga, and we loved every minute of being there. The island reminded me so much of the Philippines and we will definitely be back again.

Felix and Kristina, thanks again for taking us to this paradise-like place. It was so beautiful to witness you celebrate with your loved ones!
We wish you both a lifetime of many more awesome adventures!
Much love, Candy & Jay

Wellington Wedding Photographer | Lacewood Wedding | Morgan & Charlotte

January was probably our craziest month to date, on top of 6 weddings that we documented, we spent 10 days exploring the South Island for a commercial work that we were doing for Volkswagen NZ.
Morgan and Charlotte’s day was one of those beautiful weddings we got to photograph in January, and 5 months later, here I am finally showing you the photos from their amazing day.

If someone asked me how I would describe being in love, I’d simply show them photographs of Morgan and Charlotte, because that’s how they are, so head over heels in love with each other.
The way they look at each other, the way they smile at each other.. there’s just so much love and joy.
And their wedding day was filled with just that, love and joy. So much of it.

Everybody should experience Wanaka in Autumn.
The scenery looks even more spectacular with all the colours of Autumn.
And the light, don’t even get me started on that one.

John and Liz had THE most perfect day and as always, we are really grateful that we got to celebrate and document this beautiful day with them.

Full blogpost will come, I promise.

While I wish we got even just a few minutes of window with no rain on their wedding day, I don’t think anyone else could’ve handled the rain better than these two.
Here’s a few teasers from Lawrence & Isme’s wet but super happy wedding day.

‘Everything carries me to you. As if everything that exists, aromas, lights, metals, were little boats that sail toward those isles of yours that wait for me.’
– Pablo Neruda

Morgan and Charlotte could not have been any more in love with each other.
Documenting their love for each other was a dream, I cannot wait to show you more from their wedding.Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-09Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-02 Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-03 Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-04Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-01 Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-05 Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-06 Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-07 Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-08Lacewood-Wedding-Photography-10
