Tarureka Estate is one of the places / venues I can never get tired of.
One of the very first weddings I’ve ever covered was in Tarureka and the excitement I had then at that first wedding is still very much present whenever I’m back there.
Especially when there are amazing people involved.

Matt and Anna were married on the day they met 8 years ago.
A friend had set them up for a blind date in Wellington and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Their wedding day was filled with sunshine and laughter.
The perfect day for two very beautiful people.

Matt and Anna, thank you so much for letting us play a small part on your big day.
Jay and I truly enjoyed hearing stories about your adventures together and getting to know you more.
We wish you both a lifetime of wonderful memories you can share together.

Alex and Emma capped off our wedding season in May.
And it was the perfect day to end a Summer of documenting memories for wonderful people.

They got married in the beautiful Tarureka Estate surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The day was nothing short of amazing, filled with so many joyous smiles and laughter.
I don’t think I would ever get tired of photographing weddings.
How could I, when I am surrounded by so much happiness all the time?

Weddings are special because you’re celebrating two people who decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
But what makes it even more special to me are families.
It is so amazing how much love and joy can be felt in one day and that’s exactly why every time I start working on the photos from a wedding, there is a smile plastered on my face.
It’s like I’m reliving all those beautiful memories again. It’s definitely one of my favourite parts of my job.

Francois and Hayley got married last month in one of my favourite venues in the Wairarapa and their wedding day was nothing short of lovely.
Families and friends have traveled from around the globe to witness them say their I do’s and as always, I am so grateful I got to be a part of that day.

Francois and Hayley, thank you for letting us be a part of your day. You’re such amazing people and we wish you nothing but the best for your future.

Tarureka Estate Wedding: Maurice & Annmarie

This beautiful wedding has been on my to-blog list ever since we got back but somehow even though it’s supposed to be the ‘quiet’ season I still run out of time to do the stuff I want to do.
A day needs to have more than 24 hours if you ask me!

We shot this wedding in early April. It was a gorgeous day finished off with a stunning sunset.
Sunsets in Autumn are simply amazing. The golden glow from the setting sun hitting the orange leaves in the trees – simply perfection.
I loved this wedding. Full stop.
Just like the sunset that day, the way Maurice and Annmarie celebrated their wedding day was simply perfection.

Maurice and Annmarie, thank you for allowing us to share this wonderful day with you.
We had a great time documenting every minute of it. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.

Tarureka Estate Wedding – Matt & Keryn

Tarureka Estate was named one of the world’s 10 best barn venues by a blog recently, which didn’t really surprise me because it is a beautiful place.
4 years and countless weddings later, it is still one of my favourite venues in New Zealand.
The light, the feel.. simply everything is amazing. There’s just really something about it.

Matt and Keryn got married in March and I’m really happy that I finally get to blog and show you the photos from their wedding.
Looking back, if I had to choose one favourite moment from that day, it would have to be when Keryn did a first look with her parents.
The look in her Mum and Dad’s eyes was so moving. Those moments are definitely what make me even more grateful for being able to do this.
Capturing those memories that people get to treasure forever is simply gratifying.

Matt & Keryn, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wonderful day.
It was beautiful from start to finish. I wish you love and happiness for your future.

Tarureka Estate Wedding: Ben & Vanessa

When I posted a teaser photo from their wedding, I think my caption was along the lines of, ‘If you wanted to know what in love looks like, Ben and Vanessa are IT.’
That’s how I remember them and that’s what I captured on their wedding day. Their love for each other.
Besides the fact that they are a gorgeous couple, they are also beautiful inside. No wonder people didn’t mind travelling across the globe just to celebrate this day with them.

Ben and Vanessa have been together for 6 years. They moved to Brussels over a year ago for work.
On their 5th day in Belgium, Ben took Vanessa to Bruges for her birthday and proposed!
When Vanessa was telling me this story, she told me that she wasn’t expecting it at all because she knew that Ben didn’t believe in marriage.
Ben then said to me, ‘She changed my mind.’
I know I have said it a million times before but moments like this, they are really what makes me love what I do even more.

Ben and Vanessa, thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to capture all these beautiful memories for you.
You’re both incredible people and it was truly a pleasure to get to know you and your families.
I wish you a lifetime of more beautiful memories and a home filled with books!
