New Zealand Wedding Photographer – Behold – Collaboration Shoot

This shoot has been featured over on Paper & Lace but I also wanted to post the photos here because they’re just too beautiful not to share in my own ‘home’.

I love collaborating with vendors in the industry.
This shoot took us just a little over a week to prepare, but I knew it would come out perfectly even with so little time because I was working with some of the best in the industry.
When I told Mindy, the genius behind Twig & Arrow, that I wanted something soft and romantic she knew exactly what to give me.
I am always so inspired by people I work with and so humbled that they always find the time to collaborate despite their crazy schedule.

2016 for us started with this beautiful duo, Matt & Natasha.
And although some major changes have had to be made because of the stormy weather, these two were the picture of calm.

Kapiti Coast Ever After Session: Tony & Ann

My season started with this lovely couple, Tony and Ann, who got married in Palmerston North in early September.
A week later, we went on a little adventure in the Kapiti Coast and did an Ever After Session because they wanted to spend as much time as they could with their guests on their wedding day.
And that they did, because these two certainly knew how to throw a party!

I stumbled upon this location when we spent a weekend in the Kapiti coast one Summer, so when Ann said she would like to go somewhere in the coast for their session, this was the first location that came to my mind.
If it wasn’t a bit far from the city, I would probably be doing a lot of my shoots here!
Just look at that stunning light and textures!

Lacewood Wedding: Ciaran & Michelle

Ciaran and Michelle’s wedding capped off our wedding season last Summer.
This has been on top of my list of weddings to blog, so I’m so glad I’m finally getting around to doing it.

They got married in the beautiful grounds of Lacewood in Autumn surrounded by their family and friends.
Perfect couldn’t even begin to describe how their day went.
It’s such an honour to have documented this day because when you have two amazing people who are so crazy in love with each other promise to spend the rest of their lives together —
it’s definitely like capturing a fairytale.

Ciaran and Michelle, thank you for choosing us and letting us be a part of your beautiful day.
We wish you both a lifetime of happiness and great adventures!

Vintage Rustic Wedding, Wellington: Jonny & Lauren

I remember when I received a call from Helen, Lauren’s Mum, asking if I was still available on a Saturday in December.
I kindly told her that unfortunately, I wasn’t but I would email her names of other photographers who might be.
But before I could even send her an email, I received another call from her saying that they haven’t finalised anything yet, so they would just move the date for me.
I remember meeting Lauren, Jonny and Helen for the first time and walking away from that first meeting with a smile on my face, extremely excited for their big day.

Jonny and Lauren’s wedding day was truly magical in every way.
I don’t think there was anyone that day, me included, who left that celebration without shedding a tear.
Especially when Lauren’s Dad walked her down the aisle.

I have always been grateful for being able to do something that I absolutely love but Jonny and Lauren’s wedding day made me realize once more just how privileged I am to be a part of something so wonderful.
To be able to capture so many beautiful memories that my couples and their families can cherish forever.

And of course, to be able to meet amazing people, who let me into their lives and make me feel like I am a part of their family.

Jonny and Lauren, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel like we are a part of your family and for letting us capture the magic and beauty of your day.
We wish you a life filled with laughter and adventures.

Tarureka Estate Wedding: Maurice & Annmarie

This beautiful wedding has been on my to-blog list ever since we got back but somehow even though it’s supposed to be the ‘quiet’ season I still run out of time to do the stuff I want to do.
A day needs to have more than 24 hours if you ask me!

We shot this wedding in early April. It was a gorgeous day finished off with a stunning sunset.
Sunsets in Autumn are simply amazing. The golden glow from the setting sun hitting the orange leaves in the trees – simply perfection.
I loved this wedding. Full stop.
Just like the sunset that day, the way Maurice and Annmarie celebrated their wedding day was simply perfection.

Maurice and Annmarie, thank you for allowing us to share this wonderful day with you.
We had a great time documenting every minute of it. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
