When I think about Adam and Jennifer’s wedding, the one memory that really stands out is how much they laughed that day.
As you can see from the first photo on this post.
Family also played a big part on their day, especially the two most adorable little humans in their lives, Samara and Bradley, who definitely won my heart from the first time I met with them.
And while their wedding day was not the start of their story but merely a continuation of a beautiful life that they have already built together, there is no doubt in my heart that for these two, the best is yet to come.

Adam and Jennifer, thank you for starting our 2017 with a bang and also of course for allowing us to share this wonderful day with you.
We wish you both a lifetime of many more adventures and laughter.

Boomrock Wedding: Michael & Catherine

I’m about to start making a Queensberry album for this beautiful couple and looking at their photos just reminded me of how wonderful their wedding day was.
Boomrock is one of my most favourite venues in the country, I always get excited when a couple wants me to document their wedding there.
I mean, with its amazing views and the wonderful people who run it.. add to that a sunny day and two lovely individuals who are celebrating their love, it’s definitely a recipe for perfection.
And Michael and Catherine’s wedding day was just that, a perfect day filled with so much love and laughter.

Michael and Catherine, thank you so much again for having me and letting me capture these moments for you.

Brackenridge Wedding: Marc & Jaana

I first met Marc and Jaana in February last year. I remember meeting Marc first because Jaana was coming from a meeting outside the city.
Naturally I asked Marc how he would describe Jaana to me and his eyes just lit up.
He told me that she’s like Beyonce, fierce and just strikingly beautiful.
So when Jaana entered the room, I knew right away it was her. Marc’s description of her was just spot on.

Marc and Jaana’s wedding day was all about family and celebrating their love for each other.
I just loved how their 3 kids played a huge part in this celebration, my favourite was when Isaiah, her eldest, walked her down the aisle and gave her away.
The day simply couldn’t have gone any more perfect than it did.

Marc and Jaana, thank you again for letting us document this day for you. We wish you both and your family a life filled with many more adventures and laughter.

The Boatshed, Wellington Wedding: Alida & Brannavan

Looking at these photos, you probably wouldn’t believe it had been pouring on the morning of their wedding day but the clouds parted just in time for their afternoon ceremony.
It was sunny and warm, the perfect afternoon for people to come together and celebrate love.

Alida and Brannavan met in university, they’ve travelled the globe together and even lived in Paris together.
They are simply one of the most genuine and lovely people I’ve met and it was a joy to document and capture all these memories for them.

Alida and Bran, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Every moment and detail was simply beautiful, just like the two of you.

Wellington Engagement Session: Matt & Monique

Matt and Monique’s engagement session has been on my list to blog for awhile now, so I’m really glad that I’m finally able to do it today. Having a photographer in front of my camera made me a tad nervous (Monique is a portrait photographer) but they made it really easy for me. Everything is just so natural with them, from the way they smiled to the way they held each other . I can’t wait for their wedding in January!

Hilton, Lake Taupo Wedding: Jonathan & Katy

Taupo is probably one of the most gorgeous towns in New Zealand to get married in – the great lake, the mountains as backdrops, autumn colours.
I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to document a wedding there. With such an incredible couple too.

Jonathan and Katy are such amazing people, they are the type you just really want to be around and keep as your friends.
Their wedding was just as amazing with so many sweet little surprises.
Jonathan gave Katy a gift with a letter that almost got me teary when she read it out loud. He also secretly wrote something on the sole of her shoe.
Katy hid a note in Jonathan’s jacket pocket which he only got to read moments before she walked down the aisle.
These two just really made my heart melt.
Thinking back, these two would have had a great wedding no matter where because they’re simply meant to be together.

Jonathan and Katy, thank you so much for everything, especially for your friendship. You two are the perfect example of why I love what I do.
I wish you a world of adventures in your new life in Thailand. Much love, Candy
